Open Social Value Bank has just launched a value bank with social values, and we have been responsible for the IT development of the value bank.
With the value bank, providers of social efforts can see how much a particular intervention pays off in monetary terms, if, for example, they reduce loneliness, stress or unemployment.
Because as chairman of OSVB, Ludvig Wier, says:
"When a social effort improves life satisfaction for citizens, it does not just have an effect on the individual. It also has an economic benefit for society. By making social values accessible, we hope that it can help to standardize the valuation of social changes, so that you can begin to measure and clarify the changes that a social effort creates.”
There are incredible perspectives in it for our society if we can standardize the valuation of social change, and now we have taken a big step in the right direction.
The value bank has been prepared by the University of Copenhagen and Ramboll Management Consulting, and the project is supported by TrygFonden and Ramboll Foundation.
Thanks to Økonomer Uden Grænser for project management.
We look forward to further cooperation and to see what the future holds for Open Social Value Bank - it won't be boring!
