JunkFood has served 507,691 meals to some of society’s most vulnerable individuals. Every day, they deliver 300 warm, nutritious, and free meals to people living on the streets.
These meals aim to increase well-being, reduce conflicts, and bring a sense of calm to those who often face a chaotic daily life. It may seem basic, but for people who don’t take a meal for granted, it makes a significant difference.
Now, JunkFood will use Impactly to measure and highlight this impact over the coming year.
"We see that we make a difference every day we deliver meals. It creates a safe foundation and a rare respite for people on the streets. By measuring the social impact of our work, we hope to clearly illustrate the effect with concrete data. We have the stories, we have the photos, we have the experience, but if we can back it up with numbers, our organization will be even stronger," says Jeanette Duus, Director at JunkFood.
At Impactly, we’re incredibly proud to support JunkFood's important work and look forward to following their progress as they foster community and well-being through food. 🧡
The number of people living in homelessness is increasing, and while the Housing First approach has proved useful, we need to be able to measure and showcase the social and economic value of getting our fellow citizens from homelessness to housing in order to document the long-term social impact. We need to amplify the social impact of holistic approaches that seek to improve well-being, stability and self-sufficiency thereby enabling better living conditions for people living in homelessness.
At Impactly, we offer tailored solutions for organisations aiming to help people living in homelessness. With our platform you can easily measure the social impact and document the social and economic value of creating meaningful change for homeless people.
